Laura Lanz:     My name is Laura Lanz (AKA Jamie's matron of honor :-). I am originally from Fargo, North Dakota, but went to school at the University of Findlay. I recently graduated and even more recently married the man of my dreams (Ray Lanz)! I am now living in Crystal Lake, IL where I have a job as an equine medical technician. I have known Jamie for about 3 years and lived with her in good 'ole 226 for 2 years. Although I haven't known Jamie an extremely long time, I feel like I know her very well. She is an amazing person and a wonderful friend, one of my best. Although she is an extremely cheerful person, I have never seen her as happy as she is when she is with Scott. He is a wonderful guy, and the best part is he treats Jamie like a queen. They are wonderful to each other! They are the most perfect couple and I wish them the world (but if you ask them...they already have it :-).
I take a little credit for them being together. I bugged Jamie and called her a wuss until she finally called Scott!

Mike Snyder:     I, like Scott, am in line to get hitched to a great girl. I am going to get married to my high school sweetheart Erin Raubenolt on December 6, 2003 in good old Fremont Ohio. In order to pass the time until then, I am interning at Yost Ice Arena at the University of Michigan. Hopefully by the time I leave here I will have that elusive first real job. Now, how did I meet Scott you ask??? Let me enlighten you. Fall of 98' at good old BGSU. This is when the skinny man (Scott) and the nose (yours truly) first crossed paths. My first thought when I met Scott wasn't really about him. I wondered if he was really friends with that loser of a roommate of his...[insert laughs here]. On a more serious note, Scotty my boy... You, Andy and Dan are like brothers to me. I have always wished for the best for you guys. Scott, you as well as many other guys, have had gotten the preverbal "short end of the stick" with the ladies in the past. I think it was for the best though. I do not think I could have picked someone more perfect for you than Jamie. She is a great girl and you guys are great together. I wish you both the best.
A hearty GROB to you and your wedding!
AFRO MARRIGE METER- 3 down, 1 to go... You're on Deck Andy!

Amy Schlade:     I'm Scott's favorite sister! I'm 26 years old and live in Cincinnati, with my husband, Kurt. We've been married 2 1/2 years. Scott and Jamie wanted to be like us, so they followed us to Cincy. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in nursing. I'm a nurse at Good Samaritan hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit. Our family loves Jamie and can't wait for her to be officially part of the family! (Scott's not too bad either!) Can't wait for the wedding, should be a great time!

Kurt Schlade:     I am originally from Napoleon. I graduated from Napoleon High School in 1993. Napoleon is also where I met my future wife Amy Austermiller, (notice the similarities between her and Scott's last name). After high school I attended the University of Cincinnati. One year later Amy followed me down to Cincinnati, and the rest is history. I graduated from UC with a Civil Engineering degree. I am currently employed at a development and excavation company located on the west side of Cincinnati. We design and build residential developments across southwest Ohio. Our life has recently been flipped upside-down. I was diagnosed with leukemia in October of 2000 immediately after our honeymoon. After 2 years of chemotherapy, I have relapsed and will need to undergo a bone marrow transplant. By the time of the wedding we hope to have that all behind us, and are looking forward to spending a great day celebrating Scott and Jamie.

Chris Hanson:     I am Scott's big sister… OK, I'm just older. I live in Defiance with my two lover boys, Desmond and Jay. I lived in Athens for a few years. No, I wasn't enjoying a luxurious life in Greece; I was studying journalism at Ohio University. I'm a full-time Mom who likes to do a lot of volunteer work. I also enjoy making creative crafts and homemade gift packages… unfortunately; none of this stuff pays well! Speaking of not making much money… Jamie! (Just kidding!) Jamie is all ready like a sister to me and I'm so glad they found happiness with each other! I'm so proud of you Scooter! She's the one for you!

Jay Hanson:     I was told at one time that Scott wanted to be like me when he grew up, but I think that changed when he found out that I was sleeping with his sister! As a role model for this young lad, I tried to steer him down the right paths… giving him his first cigar, teaching him how to ask the ice cream girl to scratch his "nuts" (without getting slapped), proper bar etiquette while playing pool, and the list goes on. When I'm not molding Scott's innocent mind, I spend my days in Defiance working on multi-million dollar investment portfolios, but my most valuable time is spent with my bride and my little boy, Dez. Scott and Jamie, I hope you have the pleasure of someday learning the Barney Song, Bob the Builder, and Dora the Explorer. Just make sure you keep this separate from the cigar and bar information mentioned above. Come to find out that signing the Barney song in a bar goes over just as well as giving a cigar to your little boy!

Andy Luciano:     I got a haircut from some stupid lady today, and she gave new meaning to 'getting the ears lowered' then I was at a friends for 30 min cutting his hair cause I didn't want him to look as bad as I did, then my car got towed from there...I could have easily stole it back but thought I would pay $60 just to not put up with their crap. When I went to pay it I found that I had an extra $20 charge cause my car is front wheel drive. What else could go wrong? Hopefully not your marriage! Just kidding...

Dan Runion:     Born and raised in rural North Eastern Ohio. I've known Scott since his freshman year in college where I served as the Resident Advisor (a.k.a. Old Guy) on Scott's floor. By some miracle, the Diggity (me) took a liking to this skinny kid from Napoleon and chose to "overlook" certain "policy violations" on his floor that year. For Dan's generosity Scott has failed to do anything in return. Some friend! I guess Dan is just a sucker for skinny kids with a bizarre sense of humor, because he keeps coming back for more. My favorite story about Scott involves my grandma, a tricycle, a nun, a monkey, a case of Natty Light, two frat boys, eight sorority girls, 1 aging fat kid (myself), a midget (Andy), and a dude with family nose you could write a book on (Mike). No really, you could write a book ON his nose. Dan finds it hard to believe that his little Scotty is growing up, but hopes Jamie will spoon him as much as Dan does. Jamie, Scott likes it when you pinch his nipples.
Sniff. Peace, Love, and Grob. Fros First. Soon the Afro-Family will expand once again.

Jared VanAusdale:     Hi everyone. I'm 23 years old and I am a graduate of BGSU. Right now I live in Bowling Green and I work at Target in Toledo. I found that Target best suits my schedule and doesn't get in the way of my rock and roll stardom pipe dream. Most of my time is spent in my recliner wearing the same clothes I had on the night before and practicing in my band. My instrument is the bass guitar, and someday I hope to actually learn how to play it correctly*.
Here is where I get a little emotional about my buddy Scott. Things didn't really go the way I planned at Defiance College so I confided in Scott, and basically he was one of the few who actually listened and understood. He then proposed that I transfer to BG and be his roommate for the remainder of our stay there. That was probably the most intelligent choice I ever made. Scott welcomed me to BG and made a very awkward situation one of the best experiences of my life. I'm very proud to know Scott. Thanks for always being there Scott. You could have easily turned your back on me, but instead you demonstrated the kindness and good heart that you were born with. Beside every good man there is a good woman. I met Jamie last year and immediately liked her. I actually encouraged Scott to ask her out because I saw how happy she made him. From an outsider's point of view, you guys are meant to be together, and I could see that from the first minute that this marriage was going to happen. You finally found the one Scott and you are very lucky. Jaime is a great girl and I'm positive that she will treat you the way you've been dreaming a girl would treat you. I also have no doubt that you will cherish every day that you have her by your side. You've been like a brother to me since I moved in with you. I love you like family and I wish nothing but the best for both of you. I'm very proud of you Scott.
* I figured Jared would want me to plug this for him. This is his band's website: Red Headed Step Child

Desmond Hanson:     I love my Uncle "Dot" and I am quite fond of "Namie", too. (In fact, for a while I had an odd obsession with Jamie and potty times... but that was during my younger, wilder days!) They both try their best to persuade me in my preference for football teams (with Notre Dame and OSU), but we all know I'm actually a true Blue fan. Hey, it works for Michigan and Defiance! I am excited to be a ring bearer for Scott and Jamie's wedding... roar! Getting to walk down the aisle with a cute older woman is cool, too! Although, I may try to steal her flowers.

Hope to see you all out on the dance floor!
