The Story:
We arrived in Cancun at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday (1:30 EST) after leaving from Cincinnati at 7:30 a.m. and connecting in Atlanta. It was sunny, hot, and humid when we arrived. We were taken by shuttle to our resort which was about an hour away from the airport where we were treated like royalty from the moment we stepped out of the bus. They took our luggage, loaded it up and just kept smiling as we checked in and had a glass of champagne. Let me stress that everything at our resort is included with out trip. This includes drinks, meals, and tips. We had to worry about nothing once we got there. We treated ourselves to a couple spa treatments... pampered beyond belief. The spa is awesome and undescribable and the treatment itself was even better. We spent most of our week laying by the pool and enjoying the swim up bar and fancy dinners. We also ventured on a jungle tour which took us through a small Cancun jungle and then out to the Carribean Sea where Jamie and I snorkled for the first time... it was very cool. We also went on a lobster dinner cruise in Cancun upon a Spanish galleon and had endless entertainment from the ships "pirates". We did catch the tail end of a tropical storm on Friday, which was our last full day in Mexico. It rained all day, but we made the most of it by going to Senor Frog's in Playa Del Carmen. We wanted to purchase another week or two while we were at the resort hoping that family, friends, and work wouldn't mind... but we figured it was time to head home. All in all, this was the best trip of our lives and we plan on going back to the same resort sometime soon.

The Review:

PROS:  We would recommend this resort to anybody... and have all ready tried to get most family and friends to go back with us. The staff is overly friendly and helpful, and are very hard-working. It is an adults only resort and you don't have to put up with screaming kids or nagging parents. We met a lot of great couples vacationing at the resort and everyone is very outgoing and friendly. The spa and treatments will blow you away. This resort is considered "Ultra All-inclusive" which means you have full access, drinks, meals and tips to not only the resort in which we stayed at, but also it's five other luxury Palace resorts which are located up and down the east coast of Mexico. We really have nothing bad to say about this resort, and we hope that you will try it out for yourself if you're looking for a relaxing and romantic get-a-way.

CONS:  The only negative thing we have to say isn't about the resort. We had troubles and conflicts with or activities agent (Royale Tours). We had a couple problems with event scheduling and more importantly with or connection back to the airport. Luckily, we were able to avoid any major disruptions to our vacation, but it would have been nice to have a more organized agent.
